HILLCLIMB SERIES - Round 5 - 28/29 September, 2024

Saturday was overcast. Despite the damp track the best times set on Saturday were Ian Rennick (Eliminator LC600, 47.28), Luke Weiks (Empire 001, 47.96), Sean Wade (Nissan Pulsar, 49.13), Jeff Graham (Mazda MX-5, 50.15), Chris Balhatchet (Renault turbo, 51.54), Michael Bird (BMW M3, 51.62), Richard Marken (Peugeot 405, 52.27), Don Milner (Dolomite Sprint, 52.43), Ray Balhatchet (Renault turbo, 53.26), Alex Gardner (Renault turbo, 53.79).

Sunday was fine with better condition and thus quicker times. With a dry track drivers in the formula cars recorded faster times. Fastest time of day to Dean Amos (Gould GR55B, 36.91) with Dean Tighe (Empire Wraith turbo, 37.68), Warwick Hutchinson (OMS Rotary turbo, 37.84), Luke Weiks (Empire, 41.56), Ed McCane (OMS CF04, 42.48), Ian Rennick (Eliminator LC600, 43.05), David Quelch (Homebuilt, 43.10), Matt Read (Readster MTR1, 44.02).

Quickest of the sports cars was Jim Heymer (Farrel Clubman, 45.23) then Terry Sproston (Aussie Race Car, 47.79) and Jeff Graham (Mazda MX-5, 48.58).​
Adrian Purcell (Subaru WRX turbo, 46.08) was fastest of the sedan type cars with Jeff Watson (Honda Civic Type R, 48.03), Phil Rowen (Renault RS 250 turbo, 48.63), Sean Wade (Nissan Pulsar, 48.64), Harry Doling (Toyota Celica, 48.67), Richard Marken (Peugeot 405, 49.35), Dave Sidery (Volkswagen, 49.60), Chris Balhatchet (Renault turbo, 50.05), Don Miliner (Triumph Dolomite Sprint, 51.82).
Class wins to Barry Campbell and Greg Schildt inn the Historic groups whilst Shaun Rankin took the Regularity class from Lindsay Derriman, Chrystellee Semple and Phil Bryan.

Top six shootout with 5 runners went to Dean Amos 36.35, Dean Tighe 37.02, Warwick Hutchinson 37.98, Luke Weiks 41.91 and Ed McCane 45.45.
